DESCRIPTION:L’exposition illustre la mission diplomatique qu’initia le Gouvernement Français en direction du Sultan du Maroc en 1889 et à laquelle Pierre Loti participa comme historiographe. Fasciné par ce pays\, Loti se dédouana de la mission qui lui a été confiée et écrivit un roman\, hommage respectueux à une culture d’Islam tolérante et cultivée. \nEn parallèle\, une conférence sera consacrée à Pierre Loti au Maroc dimanche 25 novembre à partir de 15 heures\, orchestrée par Didier Catineau\, journaliste écrivain et spécialiste local de Pierre Loti. Durée de la conférence : environ 2 heures
